«Padaaaaaaaa» erklingt es ohrenbetäubend und Elefanten-ähnlich vom Eingang der Halle her. Zig Menschen bilden einen imaginären Weg, sich diskret nach vorne drängend, um einen Blick auf Ben, den Bräutigam und kalifornischen Freund, zu erhaschen. Kurz danach tritt auch die Braut, Shreya, umgeben von ihrer nächsten Familie in die Halle.

A trip to Bali
Unser Hab und Gut reduziert auf einen Rucksack kurven wir auf dem gemieteten Motorbike nach Padang Bai. Der Fischerort hat sich in den letzten Jahren verändert – fehlende Reggae-Bars am Strand und mehr Restaurants im Ortsinnern.

Downunder Diary III: East Coast
We missed Cooper Pedy in the southwest of Australia. Not without blame was an overheated Holden Viva. Lightning Ridge is the place in the east to lose yourself in the shine of opals. In Geelong, Thea told us her unique story of Lightning Ridge and the opals. This makes us gladly accept the diversions into the interior of Australia. The Dubbo Zoo is also on the way.

Building a House in Colombia Part 2
We are entering the final phase. We have about six weeks left until we leave in mid-June to head back to the States. There is still work to be done so that we can leave the house ready to rent out.

Unknown El Salvador
Angekommen in San Salvador, Hauptstadt von El Salvador, haben wir zunächst absolut keinen Plan, wohin wir gehen sollen. Die eine Möglichkeit ist, gleich weiterzufahren zu dem etwas touristischeren Ort Santa Ana, oder eine Nacht in San Salvador zu bleiben. Wir haben jedoch keine Ahnung in welchem Stadtteil dieser Riesenstadt sich die Hotels befinden.

Building a House in Colombia Part 1
It's great, life on the construction site. Life is a construction site. But now it's about ours in Palomino. The tent stands near the far right corner of our land. Just behind it rises the three-meter-high water tower with two tons of water on top. Until today, the small-looking concrete column with concrete-iron plate holds the weight.
