The Story

Adelboden

On the second or third day of our winter hiking vacation in the Kander Valley, we take a short hike along the northwest slope of Adelboden with a beautiful view of the snow-covered village.

To the Gemmi Pass

On another day, we take the cable car to the Sunnbüel mountain station and hike over groomed slopes towards the Gemmi Pass. It is icy cold, but pleasantly sunny.

Im Berghotel Schwarenbach gibt es trotz Coronaverordnung warme Kürbissuppe zum Mitnehmen und Geniessen im Schnee. — In the mountain hotel Schwarenbach, despite corona regulations, warm pumpkin soup is served to take out and enjoy in the snow.

Vom Berghotel Schwarenbach wandern wir weiter in Richtung Daubensee und Gemmipass. — From mountain hotel Schwarenbach we walk on towards Lake Dauben and Gemmi Pass.

Am Daubensee angekommen, erfreuen wir uns des Blicks auf den schneebedeckten See und beobachten die vorbeiziehenden Menschen. In der Ferne sehen wir den Gemmipass. — Arriving at Lake Dauben, we enjoy the view of the snow-covered lake and watch the people passing by. In the distance we see the Gemmi Pass.

Full moon on Tellenburg ruin

Full moon is always a special time of the month that should not be missed.

We spend the last full moon of 2020 on the nearby Tellenburg in Frutigen; with fire, barbecue and an incredible scenery.
